The Plan Model Portfolio feature in FirmPlus allows you to build up to 12 models based on funds that are in your plan. Using up to 35 funds that you've added to a lineup in Draft Portfolio, you can setup models with your desired benchmark(s) then enter the allocation percentage for each fund.
Accessing Plan Model Portfolio
- Access the Plan List screen by clicking Plan List in the navigation menu at the top of the page.
- Click on a Plan Name.
- Click the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner next to the FirmPlus logo. The menu will slide in from the left.
- Click the Management option toggle.
- Click Investment Management, then Plan Model Portfolio in the expanded menu.
1. Selecting Funds
- In the Model Set Information, choose a name for your Models.
- Select the appropriate lineup that has the funds you'd like to use.
- Select up to 35 funds that you want to include in your models by clicking on the check box next to the fund(s).
- Once you've selected your desired number of funds, click the Save and Continue button at the top right-hand corner of the page.

2. Setting Up Model Portfolios
- Select the number of models that you'd like to use by checking the Enable / Disable box above the model name.
- Enter the name of your model(s).
- Choose a benchmark for the model from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the number of participants associated with your model(s).
- Enter the total assets for your model.
- By clicking the Set Model Description link, you can enter a description of the model.
- Enter the allocation percentage for each fund used in the model, totaling 100%.
- Once you've completed configuring your Models, click Save and Refresh at the top right of the page.
